What a fun day! Everything went really smoothly, and even though it was hot and humid, our "mostly outdoor" party was a success! I think we had 35-40 people (thank goodness it didn't rain!)- family and friends.
It was a baseball theme....

| Chic fil a nuggets, corn dogs and snacks |
Favors included an autographed (ABI) baseball- Anderson has been working on those for weeks. :) We had planned to have an inflatable catcher set up outside to go with the baseball theme, but the one we ordered from Oriental Trading Co had TEN slices in it. We spent a long time trying to patch it Friday night and it still deflated slowly before our very eyes. But outside it was mostly sports related...
As I had hoped, the bounce house was the main attraction. Anderson logged hours and hours in there!
Other happenings at the party...
| Anderson loves him some Selah (Preschool/ church buddy)! So glad she could come! |
| These cuties taking over corn hole :) |
| That's one way to do it... |
| Bubbles! |
| Cutie Charlotte! |
| More friends hanging out inside |
| Singletons! :) |
| Toby pitching in with the yardwork |
| Aralee so cute in the Go-Pod. |
After lunch and cake/ cupcakes, Ryan and some of the parents took whichever kids wanted to go back to the school blacktop and playground for a "real" baseball game. I pretty much missed the whole thing, but I got there just in time to catch pictures of the last 2 men standing, Andy and Anderson (and Ryan and Alan).
| Using a tee |
| Intense play at the plate |
| Andy safe at 2nd base! |
Once most of the guests headed out, we spent a little time chilling out inside. Colby decided to take a looong morning nap (about 9:30-12:30!) and pretty much missed the whole party. But he got to hang out a little before family left.
Both big boys were exhausted! Anderson especially had played and played and played out in the heat (high 92 and humid!) They took naps for a little while, and Anderson woke up first. A perfect chance for him to open all of his presents...
| Yay! |
| Brand new soccer ball and goal! |
| And not that we were keeping score, but Anderson LOVED his knight in shining armor gear! He explained that a sword is called an "on-guard" and opened all remaining presents while wearing his armor. Also, bonus, when I call him "Sir Anderson," he calls me "Ma'am, Mommy". Haha. |
| Watching the Nats game... he is currently sleeping with his full suit of armor in bed with him. |
Everything went as well as we had hoped. Fun day, fun boy! Love this (almost) 4-year-old of mine!!!
What a great party! Jump houses are the best. I already have both boys telling which jumphouse they want for their birthday parties, ha!

ReplyDeleteSarah, Liam's super fun 4th birthday party is the reason I knew we wanted a bounce house! I loved seeing the kids' faces as they came in the backyard and saw it. :)
